Troy Smith Buckeye Classic Scramble Rules

Tournament Rules: 4-Person Scramble

Format

This is a 4-Person Scramble. All team members tee off on each hole. The team then selects the best shot and all players play their next shot from that spot. This process continues until the ball is holed.

Tee Assignments

To ensure a fair and fast-paced round, please play from the following tee markers:

  • Men (Under 60): Blue Tees (~6,257 yards). This offers a challenging but "birdie-able" length for a scramble.

  • Seniors (60-74): White/Tartan Tees (~5,804 yards). Provides a comfortable yardage that keeps the game moving.

  • Super Seniors (75+) & All Women: Green/Red Tees (~5,100 yards). Ensures everyone is reaching par-4s in two and par-5s in three.

  • Celebrities: Play from the Blue Tees unless otherwise specified by the tournament director.

Improving Your Lie

  • Through the Green: You may move the ball up to one club-length from the selected spot, no closer to the hole. The ball must remain in the same condition (e.g., if the selected ball is in the rough, you must play from the rough).

  • On the Green: You may move the ball one putter-head length from the selected spot.

Scoring & Pace of Play

  • Bogie Max: To maintain pace of play, the maximum score on any hole is a Bogie. If you miss your par putt, please pick up, record a bogie, and move to the next tee.

  • Mulligans: If purchased, mulligans may be used for any shot but cannot be used to win "Closest to the Pin" or "Longest Drive" contests.
